Warm vs. Cold Water on Wash Day Tutorial!
Do you use cold ❄️ water on wash day? If not, watch to see why you should!
When shampooing,🚿 it is best to use warm water as the heat from the water and the steam it creates helps to open your hair cuticles and pores to remove product build-up, dirt, and oils.
⚠️Be careful not to make the water too hot 🔥obviously because of the temperature but also because it can strip your hair of its natural oils which can lead to frizz and dryness!
After shampooing and conditioning your hair, use cold water to seal in the moisture and shine✨. The cold water💧 closes your hair’s cuticles and pores which helps to prevent frizz while keeping your hair moisturized!
Ruby’s Gem 💎(Tip!) If the water is too cool for your body and you don’t want to do the cold water shower dance, try using a handheld shower attachment (this one I am using is linked in my bio in my Amazon store) to directly point the cool water to your hair! Lean forward to prevent the cool water from dripping down your body. Or you can rinse out your conditioner over the sink instead of the shower!
