Black Beauty Festival in Chicago

Black Beauty Festival in Chicago

This weekend I had the chance to attend the Black Beauty Festival at Victory Gardens Biograph Theatre which showcased Black-owned and operated beauty companies in the Chicagoland area. I love supporting black-owned companies and this gave me the opportunity to do just that!

I’ve heard great reviews about Eden Body Works from Beauty Blogger Ebony of and Tierra, Instagram: black girl.slays. Thus, I was delighted to see them at the event and samples of their products in the goodie bag!

Shea Body Works was another vendor in which I was able to support as they have a Happy Hand and Feet Balm which is made with all natural and oils such as Shea Butter,
Coconut Oil, Avocado oil, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil and Seed Oil. My youngest son is battling a dry skin spell which we are hoping is jus baby eczema and will try this out for his skin. I will keep you all posted on progress!

Chi Town Naturals (can y’all guess where this brand is from? 😉) is another local brand with an owner whose personality is so inviting and engaging!

Her passion exuded as she discussed her brand, her mission and how the company all started. Did I mention, she is an Aries ♈ like yours truly? 💁🏽‍♀️ I am excited to try her line of natural homemade organic products! Her motto, Natural hair requires natural products!” spoke to me!

They offered mimosas to sip while you shopped. Y’all know I love me a good mimosa! 🥂

There were other vendors in attendance from hair care, clothing, authors and more! See the videos below!

It was so much fun attending the event to shop with the vendors but also had a chance to meet up with some Black Bloggers United Chicago Chapter members!

A special thank you to Black Bloggers United for and Victory Gardens for the complimentary tickets to attend this amazing event! We need more opportunities to connect with black businesses and support each other! It’s not enough to just talk about it, we need to do it!

Let’s stay in touch!
